چکیده
Photocatalysis provides a prospective approach for achieving high-value products under mild conditions. To realize this, constructing selective, low-cost and environmentally friendly photocatalyst is the most critical factor. In this study, BiOBr/Zn@SnO2 fabricated by one-pot hydrothermal synthesis method BiOBr: SnO2 ratio 3:1; material applied as in fructose selective conversion to lactic acid. The bandgap structure can be regulated via two-step modification, which includes Zn doping Zn@SnO2 coupling BiOBr. shows excellent efficiency high selectivity acid generation alkaline rate almost 100%, yield 79.6% optimal reaction catalyst highly sustainable reusability; reach 67.4% after five runs. possible mechanism also proposed disclose photocatalysis processes.

Phenolic Biotransformations during Conversion of Ferulic Acid to Vanillin by Lactic Acid Bacteria
Vanillin is widely used as food additive and as a masking agent in various pharmaceutical formulations. Ferulic acid is an important precursor of vanillin that is available in abundance in cell walls of cereals like wheat, corn, and rice. Phenolic biotransformations can occur during growth of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), and their production can be made feasible using specialized LAB strains tha...
متن کاملAnaerobic conversion of lactic acid to acetic acid and 1, 2-propanediol by Lactobacillus buchneri.
The degradation of lactic acid under anoxic conditions was studied in several strains of Lactobacillus buchneri and in close relatives such as Lactobacillus parabuchneri, Lactobacillus kefir, and Lactobacillus hilgardii. Of these lactobacilli, L. buchneri and L. parabuchneri were able to degrade lactic acid under anoxic conditions, without requiring an external electron acceptor. Each mole of l...
متن کاملFructophilic lactic acid bacteria inhabit fructose-rich niches in nature
Fructophilic lactic acid bacteria (FLAB) are a special group of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), which prefer fructose but not glucose as growth substrate. They are found in fructose-rich niches, e.g. flowers, fruits, and fermented foods made from fruits. Quite recently, they were found in the gastrointestinal tracts of animals consuming fructose, which were bumblebees, tropical fruit flies, and Cam...
متن کاملNew nanostructured silica incorporated with isolated Ti material for the photocatalytic conversion of CO2 to fuels
In this work, new nanoporous silica (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology-6 (KIT-6)-dried or KIT-6-calcined) incorporated with isolated Ti materials with different Si/Ti ratios (Si/Ti = 200, 100, and 50) has been synthesized and investigated to establish photocatalytic reduction of CO2 in the presence of H2O vapors. The properties of the materials have been characterized through N...
